Secret Agent 86

Okay, I'm happy.  It seems there is going to be a Get Smart movie (coming soon to a theater near you).  If you've read any of the Melvin Beederman books, it's not by chance that Melvin's antics and some of the other humor elements are a lot like Maxwell Smart's.  This was one of my favorite TV shows when I was a kid.  I love the recurring gags.  Have you noticed recurring gags in the Melvin series?  Would you believe you have Mr. Smart to thank for it?

In other news, Under Dog is coming soon to a theater near you.  Another show from my childhood.  Holy double whammy!  Ahh...summer.  Greg

Yeah, I agree. Sometimes when they use that computer animation on animals it loses something.

I'm pleased that Steve Carrell is playing Maxwell Smart. I grew up watching the reruns, and I'm a big Buck Henry/Mel Brooks fan. But Underdog as a movie? Ummm..perhaps as an animated feature and not a live action movie.

Greg Trine is a truly inspirational writer and speaker. When he visited my class, he captivated my students with stories of his challenges and successes as a writer, inspiring them with lessons of perseverance and encouragement. The activities he worked on with them showed how they could embody traits of character just as noble and just as funny as Melvin Beederman's. He was very entertaining, and the evil laugh contest was a hoot!
