Eek!

Eek is one of my favorite words.  It can mean, "Hey, look, there goes a mouse."  Or it can mean, "Hey, look, here comes that girl I used to like in high school."  But the latest Eek in my life is that I have a 160 page middle grade novel and I can't open the file.  Thus the above-mentioned Eek, which is more of a double Eek.  Fortunately, I sent a copy to my old writing buddy Priscilla Partridge (I don't mean she's old; I mean she's a former writing buddy) for her comments and I still have the copy.  But now I have to retype 160 pages.  EEK!

What do you think of the new blog?  Pretty groovy, eh?  Greg

Of course I remember it. It had to be either that one or the detachable-wings angel story.

Keep us updated on your progress!

Yes, Priscilla, you sent it back. It was my goldrush middle grade novel...not sure if you remember. Yes, I'm considering YA and middle grade, at least until my editor asks for book 9 of Melvin Beederman. Greg

No, I don't have it electronically. In fact, I cringed at the words "Priscilla Partridge" "sent" and "copy" but sighed in relief to find out I'd in fact sent it back. (And, are you sure of how not old I am? Maybe I'm older than you think!!)

So, does this mean you're giving YA another shot?

Hi all,

Thanks, for stopping by. I might try your scanning idea, Barbara, if I can't get Alexis's husband to do something magical and retrieve it. I'm on page 40 now and it's going very slow. Greg

Oh No, Greg! On the bright side, your blog looks great. Hey - maybe you can scan the document - it's a little faster than typing the whole thing!

Good Luck!

Barbara

Eek is right, Greg! Do you really have to type the MS in again?? Doesn't Priscilla have it electronically? Or did you send it snail mail to Texas? My fingers hurt just reading your message!

What a great presentation! Many visuals brought the "talk" to life. The students loved the spooky laughter contest and to be able to play a part from the book. Greg Trine really relates to kids!
