A New Libarary in Camarillo |
I was expecting to have the fourth Melvin Beederman book available on April 3rd, but I was at the Camarillo Library grand opening on Saturday (March 30th) and there was Barbara, from Adventures for Kids, selling all of my books, including book four, Terror in Tights. The new library was amazing. It cost a whopping 27 million. The kids section alone was as large as some libraries I've seen. There's a pirate ship inside, along with a forty-foot tall mast and sail. Amazing place...kind of like a very literary Disneyland. I spent the day with some fellow authors, Barbara Beitz, Alexis O'Neill, June Sobel, Carol Heyer, Jody Fickes Shapiro, and a few others. One of the highlights of the day was some real pirates showed up. They strutted around singing songs about grog and wenches, even though one of their number was actually a wench herself! If you're ever in Camarillo, be sure to check out their new library and be prepared to be wowed. Greg
